In November 2025, Sarhang Hamasaeed participated in the Middle East Peace and Security Forum (MEPS25), organized by the American University of Kurdistan in Duhok, Iraq, and spoke at the workshop “Power-Sharing in Iraq and Syria: Pathways to Consensus and Inclusive Governance.” He discussed lessons from the experiences of Iraq and Syria and the role of external actors.
